Team17 Studio Spotlight

Our find homepage takeover of 2019 is the British Publisher Team17. Known for their fantastic games across multiple platforms Team17 are a titan of the British Games Industry.

Founded back in 1990, Team17 have been a staple of the British Games Industry for almost 30 years. From the release of Full Contact on the Commodore Amiga all the way back in 1991 to the release of the critically acclaimed Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair at the end of 2019, Team17 has a long history of creating and publishing fantastic games.

Founded in 1990, Wakefield (and Nottingham) based Team17 came to be through a merger between British publisher '17-Bit Software' and the Swedish Developer 'Team 7'. With over 90 games to their name, Team17 have contributed to award-winning games across almost every console over the last three decades and describe themselves as 

 ‘A games label created by independent developers for independent developers’ 

They’ve collaborated with game developers around the globe, sharing their expertise from creation to launch across PC, console and mobile devices. Currently, Team17 is working alongside a varied range of talented developers from around the globe on games such as the forthcoming The Survivalists, Main Assembly, Moving Out and many more - check out the full list of confirmed games here.

Team17 employs over 140 people in its 2 UK offices which are based in Wakefield (Development Studio) and Nottingham (Games Label/Commercial Office). They’re currently expanding their team across almost every discipline, the teams are growing so quickly that they’ve had to move to a shiny new office in Wakefield just the last month!
